My Top 5 wedding venues
Over the years I have been extrememly lucky to work with some amazing clients and even more so at some amazing venues!
When choosing a venue, you have multiple things to consider; obviously, does it suit the style of wedding you're planning? Does the venue provide what you want? Corkage no corkage? Do they have a music licence, live music or DJ?... and until what time - how hard do you want to party!? Do they have accommodation? Single use? and so on.
But a great venue can also contribute to your wedding photos, or at least make your photographers job a little easier.
Some of the things photographers will look at when they arrive is firstly locations to take a bride and groom for shots of just them and also considering group shot locations. And once inside the venue, what's the lighting like?? Is it dark? Is there plenty of natural light?
Personally I love to shoot natural light, I'll only use flash as a last resort so I love a venue with big windows plenty of natural light, or even an outdoor wedding.
So with those thoughts, I have listed my top 5 favourite venues that I have worked at during my career. If you're looking for a venue, I hope you find this little list helpful!
Le Petit Château (Great colours, atmosphere and grounds - accommodation options)
Walcott Hall (stunning views, great natural, moody lighting - great standout features/locations for photos, quirky accommodation options)
The Bridal Barn (Great rustic choice, teepee option for evening reception)
Foxtail Barns (Bright, fresh venue, huge windows, fantastic grounds for photos, onsite camping pods)
Tournerbury Woods Estate (Great outside ceremony option, by the waterside, awesome grounds, marquee for evening reception, plenty of space for your own venders)
